Just to say that your site brought back happy memories of a Gang Show that I was in which was performed in Scout House on Jamaica Rd back in 63, 64 or 65. I was in the 2nd Bermondsey then. Some of the songs still are with me, and the smell of the greasepaint...The Scouts were FANTASTIC!! I'm sure you realsie the opportunities that you open up for inner city boys to get out into the country, camping, palling around - it did it for me as a 9-11 year born and bred near Southward Bridge. The 2nd Bermondsey met in the basement of the Fisher Boxing Club. My first scout master was a priest attached to the catholic church in Dockhead, and later replaced by a man called Ralph Sullivan. Where is he now...?
I came across this site by accident and it was lovely reading the history of the show. Tommy Thompson was a friend of my parents. I attended my first show as a babe in arms and finally joined the cast at the age of 10 in 1967 when we did Ron's play " where's there's a will there's a way" I was a member of the cast from1967 - 1982.
Sorry for the delay in Updating our site but hopefully you have alll the details you need now to book those tickets.
We look forward to seeing you all in March.
Great trun out yesterday for our auditions, looks like we are gonna have a great cast this year.
Can't wait - let the rehearsals BEGIN!!
